Thimphu Tsechu

Thimphu Tsechu

The Thimphu Tsechu is one of Bhutan’s most vibrant festivals, celebrated annually in the capital city of Thimphu. It's a significant religious festival dedicated to Guru Rinpoche, held at the Tashichho Dzong (the fortress and monastery that also houses Bhutan's government offices). The Tsechu is usually a three-day event, filled with colorful mask dances, traditional music, and cultural performances, typically taking place in late September or early October.
